In 2019, Jode founded Block Party Supply, a local lending library for street parties and community events based in Toronto's Christie Pits neighbourhood. This innovative initiative provides residents and community groups with access to a variety of party essentials—such as tables, chairs, canopy tents, giant board games, plates and utensils —facilitating the organization of street parties, laneway gatherings, and other local events. By lowering the barriers to hosting community celebrations, Block Party Supply helps make local magic happen, one fun event at a time.
