The David Suzuki Foundation’s Butterflyway Project is a community-powered initiative that helps bring butterflies, wild bees and other pollinators back to neighborhoods throughout Canada. Launched in 2017, the project enlists volunteer Butterflyway Rangers to plant native wildflowers in private and public spaces, creating vital pollinator pathways. What started as a local pilot has blossomed into a national movement, with thousands of people transforming their communities into thriving habitats for wildlife—one pollinator-friendly patch at a time.
